New Years Internet Safety Resolutions
It is easy to still feel a little woozy after all of the sleepless activity and sugar-filled holidays. It's a good time to assess your life and see where you may need to make improvements. I am doing the same thing!
Here are some ideas for you and your family
Talk about Internet Safety
I know I say it too much. Keep the conversation going about the Internet and how it is so important to be careful about what you post. See: Online Guidelines
Lock down Holiday gifts
You may have given your kids a new device or game system. Take the time to make sure the appropriate controls are in place.
Sign up for social networks
Your kids' activity on Facebook May have dropped in the past year. If they haven't already done so, they may have signed up for other social media accounts such as Instqgram or twitter. Talk to your kids about social networks or look through the applications that may be installed.
Here are my own “Digital Resolutions”
Write a post once per week!
This had been my long term goal, howeve, it is easier said than done. I will write a post once per week in order to keep the content and tutorials coming. Please provide comments or questions for any topics you would like me to research.
Introduce Individual Internet Safety Guides
I have tried to make his blog to be applicable to ANY person or family. The difficulty with this approach is that I may need to provide pros and cons and multiple recommendations. Every situation is different. With that my recommendations for each individual family would be different.
